Ayusa
Ayusa International is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 to promote global learning and leadership through foreign exchange, study abroad and leadership programs for high school students from the U.S. and around the world. For 30 years, Ayusa has provided students with an invaluable perspective on other cultures and a more profound understanding of their important role in the global community.
Ayusa administers multiple high profile grant programs funded by the U.S. Department of State. Ayusa has been a recipient to more than 50 prestigious grants sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and other organizations totaling more than $75,000,000.
Ayusa is a founding member of CSIET (Counsel on Standards for International Educational Travel) and has received a “full listing” as an accredited exchange organization for 25 consecutive years since CSIET’s inception.
Ayusa offers three distinct programs for high school students: Global Youth Exchange, Study Abroad, and World Leaders.
Ayusa Study Abroad
Ayusa study abroad programs provide high school students the opportunity to journey abroad and immerse themselves in another language and culture. Program offerings include long-term academic programs, short-term summer programs, faculty-led customized programs, and short-term volunteer programs.Ayusa study abroad programs include round-trip airfare from an Ayusa hub city, pre-departure and in-country orientations, placement with a carefully selected host family or in a residence hall, including food and lodging expenses, enrollment in a local high school (academic year and semester programs), language and culture classes (short-term summer programs), student health and accident insurance, supervision, guidance and support throughout the entire program, and 24-hour emergency assistance.
Ayusa offers study abroad programs in Australia, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, and Switzerland. In addition, Ayusa offers short-term volunteer abroad programs in Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru.
