A man at workFor over 30 years, Intrax has been an official sponsor designated by the U.S. Department of State to administer the J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa program. Obtaining a J-1 visa is mandatory for all our participants going to the U.S. Intrax Canada is committed to helping students find job placements, providing a DS-2019 form and assisting with the J-1 visa application process to legally partake in these placements.


ProWorld

ProWorld matches volunteers of all ages with community projects in developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. From building cleaner-burning stoves in Peru to empowering women in Thailand, participants make a real difference in local communities.  ProWorld has been working with volunteers for more than 10 years and offers unique volunteer, internship and study abroad opportunities in the areas of healthcare, environment and social-economic sectors.  ProWorld has also created customized overseas programs for more than 40 American and Canadian universities and colleges. 

ProWorld currently offers programs in ten countries:  Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, and Thailand.

Current volunteer opportunities include:

    * Community Development - install clean-burning stoves, build ceramic water filters, or construct schools

    * Environmental and Wildlife Conservation - work in a national park, assist in water conservation, or plant trees to reforest depleted ecosystems.

    * Education and Teaching - work as a teacher's assistant, teach English or educate teens on current social, health and environmental issues.

    * Health Care - conduct field-based clinical, public health and research programs.

    * Youth Programs - assist with youth sports programs, work with after-school activities or volunteer in daycare centers


Intrax Abroad

Intrax Business Internships is more than just an internship program. This is your chance to work and live in another country and develop the global awareness, business acumen and communication skills needed to succeed in the global workplace.

In a competitive job market, students seek ways to differentiate themselves and gain international experience. Intrax Internships Abroad is a professional career development program that offers internships in major commercial centers around the world to help students become effective leaders in today’s global economy.

Intrax will select students from around Canada and the U.S. to join the program based on their background and language skills. Successful applicants will be placed in internships in London, Beijing, Santiago, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Barcelona, Madrid, and Singapore. Interns will typically speak the local language in the workplace in most of the host countries except for Tokyo and Berlin, where they may work in English.


AYUSA

Ayusa International is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 to promote global learning and leadership through foreign exchange, study abroad and leadership programs for high school students from the U.S. and around the world.  For 30 years, Ayusa has provided students with an invaluable perspective on other cultures and a more profound understanding of their important role in the global community.

Ayusa administers multiple high profile grant programs funded by the U.S. Department of State.  Ayusa has been a recipient to more than 50 prestigious grants sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and other organizations totaling more than $75,000,000.

Ayusa is a founding member of CSIET (Counsel on Standards for International Educational Travel) and has received a “full listing” as an accredited exchange organization for 25 consecutive years since CSIET’s inception.
